Gamers are social creatures, and many of us are diverse when it comes to our hobby, be it platforms or games.
Co-op and team based vs. can be a lot of fun with the right people, thus I am creating this thread so we can find some co-op partners in crime among our SOG friends.
Share some about which games and platforms you are active on.

These things will always be changing. Sometimes you just get sick and tired of a game or platform and move more heavily into another. Or you start playing a certain game heavily. You can always come back and make revisions and additions.
Before the SOG was restored I've played (playing) Star Wars the Old Republic ! Sometimes when I have free times, I also like to play some Strategy like for example Forge of Empires. In the near future I have plan to return to SWAT :)
Lot of Arma 3, insurgency, Squad, different RTSs. That is co-op wise

Besides SWAT4/TSS, I really enjoy strategy games. If someone is into stuff like Civilization V (I usually play with the NQMod patch and HellBlazers map pack), I'd love to know - a few team or FFA deathmatches could be fun, as well as Co-op against a team of Deity AIs :) It takes a lot of time though - even a quick match can take up to 8 hours or more, so it's either an option during the weekends, or we can save and re-load and do it in several days.
Also, I used to play Awesomenauts - probably one of the more funny games I've played, and it's really great if you can get some friends to play along. Haven't played it for a year, so I don't know how the game is doing right now.

Hi there! For over a year I’m happy owner of Xbox One S. Before I was using Xbox 360. I mainly play there FIFA, Forza Motorsport and GTA. I totally stopped playing games via my PC as this isn’t so powerful anymore, but still if any of you owns xbox or games that are supported, I would love to play a match or to have a little race!

In recent years I have been hooked on the Batman:Arkham PS4 series.... played a couple of them two times over.... weird I know but they are the only games that I feel deserve to be Batman worthy!
Well I like to mainly play shooter games or strategy. Command and Conquer/Company of heroes for example of a couple I have and like to play on occasion.
I still have 360 and mainly play an older Madden 25 game my wife got me for christmas a few years back, madden is a series regarding american football for those that don't know. :p I would like to get another console in the future but debating if it is worth it. Now that I have this PC and games available on Steam and Origin I rather use what I have at the moment.
I am defenetly a PC player, can't handle shooters on consol...
Fan of CoD's serie , especial MW parts :)
Also like L4D2 and there are already a few ppl for sure who doesnt mind to shoot some zombies (as Nico, Wes and Pdluka at least ^^), so we could manage some games

I really like the 1st Civilization... it very old - Date of release September, 1991, but it's so nostalgic for me :)

I haven't played the older ones besides Civilization IV, but I did look into some gameplay videos out of curiosity. If I recall correctly, the first game is where the Gandhi Nuke bug occured, which is why he is now always Nuke-happy in later games, as an inside reference.

I got that piece of information from this article (https://www.geek.com/games/why-gandhi-is-always-a-warmongering-jerk-in-civilization-1608515/), not from a gameplay video. Apparently, his aggression level was set to a minimum amount, which caused an overflow to maximum when diplomatic bonuses were in effect. In later games they added that deliberately, e.g. in Civilization V his Nuke Production and Use of Nukes values are set to 12 (http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Gandhi_(Civ5)#AI_Traits) (the maximum is 10).
I can't actually confirm when or how it happens in the original Civilization, as I didn't play the game, nor have I seen videos of that bug. You might want to test it out :D

Interesting thread.
When it comes to gaming, personally, i like diversity.
Also played various strategy games, but never really embraced pure turn based strategy titles to be honest (real-time is better imo).
I have "Napoleon: Total War" on steam, if someone is interested in a round you can send me a PM :)
Furthermore im huge fan of the Hitman series and also the GTA franchise.
For other new games i have to admit im not very active... my active FPS PvP times are history. Have played Battlefield, Counterstrike and a rather unknown game called Vietcong. With the latter i even was member in an ESL clan back then (omg just realized that must have been more than 10 years ago).
For COOP players that appreciate aged games and can accept the outdated graphics, Vietcong might still be worth a look btw. There must be hundreds (and thats not even exaggerated) of custom coop maps out there for this game. The community is still active and patched that game for newer OS, also keeping a new master server online to this very day:

wow, really like you for showing me this article ! such interesting thing... i also noticed that Gandhi is too aggressive, but never thought it can be a bug of the game. Very fun and interesting thing :)

I play TOR too! You'll have to give me your character names, are you on Pub or Empire or both :p
As for me, I play TOR as mentioned, STO, Borderlands 2, not much else atm. Occasionally I dive into memory lane and play some Mass Effect, but between work and college, I don't have much free time to get into any new games. Always have time for |SOG| though :D
If Star Citizen ever comes out and I have my new PC by then, I'll likely get hardcore into that.

On PC I usualy play a lot of Project Reality, Civ V, Europa Universalis 4, ETS2, and Empire at War.
On Xbox One you can often find me playing FIFA, Forza Horizon 3, Madden, GTA V (not so often anymore) Battlefield 1 and some others

I still didn't try any police mode in GTA V... in GTA IV i really liked it, but there were always problems with performance. Is that working better in 5th part?

The LSPD:FR mod for GTA V is pretty stable for the most part. You can take a look at it here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/

I have it on PS4, and it is similar to EVE Online. I enjoyed it, I just didn't have folks to game with regularly, not that my shipping and low level exploration would be remarkable in any way.
I've been playing quite a lot Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead lately. It's one of the first shooters I ever played, and I still enjoy it a lot. Also been gaming with some friends I hadn't spoken to in many years in that game, good fun still meeting the same players I was playing with 12 years ago. It's one of those games I guess I'll keep playing until there is literally novody left. :)
For the rest, I'm playing a lot of different games. I have this problem where I own more games than I ever have time to play. PC games mostly, I'm at my core a PC gamer and always will be, although occasionally playing on mostly my NES or other platforms is great too. In general I play lots of FPS (CoD, L4D(2), Borderlands, CSGO, to name a few), strategy (C&C, all the Civ's, CoH), many online in coop. Have a good friend abroad with whom I play a lot of games, so we've spend many years trying as many coop games as we could. Also play a lot of single player games, but if you want to know about that, check my stats on various platforms or ask me.
As part of a project I'm working on with another friend, I'm also playing lot of old games. Our goal is to play every significant game throughout the history of video games. We just reached the year 1990 and are currently playing the first Commander Keen. (@Recon Mere weeks ago I was playing the original Civ I, and encountered that very same Gandhi bug. :) ). We also intent to blog about the project, so as soon as that actually happens I might share some posts. :)
@Michael Mass Effect is ranked very high on my personal best games of all times list. I play through the series every few years just to enjoy it again. :D

I'm sorry I was a little bit non active, but I can explain it. You all need to know something about me for example what I was doing in this long term since Matt restored the SOG. I worked as a sport yournalist for a polish sports portal. I wrote about many things, but my specialization was Cycling. I'm felt in Love with that discipline. I works hard and wrote many topics about Vuelta, classics, Tour de France and many more. Spoke with many profi cycling specialists like for example Sacha Modolo, Michał Gołas, former champ Michał Kwiatkowski or Mikel Landa. I received an yournalist accreditation for the most important World Tour race in Poland - Tour de Pologne. I was so proud to works there.
I told you about it, because since few months I started to play PCM 17 Pro Cycling Manager 17. I could say this is amazing game for a ppl like me (ppl who really love ride on profi bike and cycling) We don't play sports games very often, but in this case I will change some SOG view. When you play that game for the first time, you already will start thinking about EA's FIFA. It's looks like almost the same especially when you edit your own profile and try to create your own kicker or manage the team. In PCM you can choose all profi riders signed in UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) all teams licensed by UCI from Continental to the most prestige World Tour. You can also download the hole databases from STEAM Workshop where you can find original names, stars or teams from the past or even create you as a rider !
The game often more. For example you can ride at Tour de France (pay attention) only if you are a member or you working for World Tours teams or when your pro continental team will receive official welcome from the organisators. You can ride hole season, if you are good you will receive an invitation to national team and you can also manage the hole team. Reality in game is almost astonish. For example your team and you riding in a Tour of Britain and in the same way hard rain assaulted the pack (peloton). Believe me or not but you can also fall on the road, you shirt in two minutes will be total wet and white t-shirt will change colour to grey. When I played the game for the first time, I thought my rider will really catch some cold or any other diseases. Amazing ! Stages and their profiles were edited like in reality and graphics has a good level. Multiplayer offering game in some levels of action for example control your team, your own rider, play on the track.
I can't be a good member of SOG if I will not say about a tactics. You can choose many of them. For example you can decide, who will protect the leader, when you will start catch breakaway, or to allow them to ride You can choose a a teammate who will go back and take bidons or work in a front of a group. You can also send one of them into breakaway.
It's good to see say sth about the stamina and specializations. In the game You will start season in January and you will decide what races or tours will be your priority assignments. For example you can choose 3 different terms one for example Tour of Oman in January second Amstel Gold Race in Aprill, third for example World Championships. After doing it, the game will create trening program especially for you. In this case you will have the best form in January, Aprill and half of September. In the same way you will never receive good form in any other terms. For example you will lost much more power on Giro or Tour de France and never go with good score in a general classifications. So you need to choose wisely. Riders has like in the reality the same specializations. For example you can choose your rider as a climber, sprinter, puncher, time trial specialist or many more. Each of them has special charakteristic an must be train in training sessions. When you will decide to train climber specialization, you will also receive a time trial points,but when you start train fo example recovery or stamina you will lost point from time trial, hills and mountains. So this is another resaon to choose wisely and think what are you going to do ?
In the end I need to say... this game astonished me a lot and I could prefer it for everyone.
