One severely underutilized tactic is the emergency shotgun breach.
Nearly everyone uses C2. The shotgun is faster and has a much higher badass index when it's done properly.

Emergency Shotgun Breach, Bang, Clear...

-EL orders standard bang and clear
-Pointman waits to hear the glorious "ting" of a nade pin pulled free
-clunk, clunk...oh crap. the door is locked!!!
-EL, being paid for his fast thinking, steps in front of the cover man in case a suspect opens the door on our team
-Pointman transitions to his breaching shotgun and punches the knob free from the door with a resounding bang before slinking back along the wall to let the entry team have a clear path
-the coverman takes one step to the outside of the EL and, on visual confirmation of a successful breach, lets the nade fly in low off the floor and the remainder of the door
-EL enters first followed by the rest of the entry team (breaching man enters last)
-trailers/rear security maintains control of the hallway

Planned Shotgun Breach, Bang, Clear...

-EL orders await go command/hold for go code/etc...breach with shotgun...bang and clear
-EL steps in front of the cover man in case a suspect opens the door on our team
-Pointman transitions to his breaching shotgun
-coverman steps around the EL and pulls his pin
-EL orders Go, Go, Go
-Pointman, on the third GO, punches the knob free from the door with a resounding bang before slinking back along the wall to let the entry team have a clear path
-the coverman, on sign the door was successfully breached, lets the nade fly in low off the floor and the remainder of the door
-EL enters first followed by the rest of the entry team (breaching man enters last)
-trailers/rear security maintains control of the hallway

The key is a calm shotgun man. He can't blow the door until hearing the pin pulled or the go, go, go from the EL. What makes it look really cool is the timing on the 3rd GO.

You can blow any door , locked or not locked for sake of saving time ( and what I usually do ) Also if everyone get shotguns, you got enough ammo of breaching many many doors.

Theres another very useful hint I want to share. Flash works great everywhere, in that case helmet guy can enter as soon as the flash still flying in midair. Thats how British SAS works. They got antiflash lenses on gas masks, just like welding masks. But its important that you got timing right. have to work a lot on timing with teammates to make it perfect.

Me and YoursTruly almost got that perfectly :)
Breacher counting and blowing door meanwhile flash going in side as soon as door starts moving ( means throw need to be made before door been shot ) Then point man goes in with the flash and not waiting til it blew up behind corner

Exactly right, Orion. During our SAS training we worked on perfecting timing. I'm ready when you are. Also, real SAS do immediately follow flashes and sometimes air burst them with a soft upward toss.
