Hi all

Announcing the latest adminbot running on our servers.

New features;

- Addition of admin broadcast (players are told when admins are available either in the server, or viewing via web admin)
- Addition of admins not using their tags (names are changed automatically)
- Addition of player promotion (players who have registered at site are eligible for time and rank tracking. Now players can be promoted in the server via Jessica)
- Various bug fixes.

The main addition is promoting players in the server. Jessica will change your name to include your rank, based on what your site registered name is.

For example, if you have recently hit the trigger point for <Sgt> and are in the server as |SOG|Test, Jessica will rename you to |SOG|Test<Sgt>.

Please note, this works on EVERY player registered at our website. Therefore, if you do not wish to have this rank enforced on you, the options can be changed via the USER CP at site. Please look for the option "SWAT 4 Stats Tracking" under Edit My Details. Change this to "Disable"*.

* Disabling will remove your stats tracking including the display at the site.

I just have a question about the above. What does that mean exactly? If an admin logs in but is using another name will it change their name to match what is on the forums?

Or will it track that in the AdminBot CP on the back end?

If your logged in as admin with different name it will change your name matching on site, meaning for you it will change |SOG|TimC or |SOG|TimC<Rank>

Can you partly disable tracking? Keep hours tracking for example and not having renamed on server by Jess?

MY ACCOUNT > USER CP > EDIT YOUR DETAILS > SWAT 4 SERVER RANKS > DISABLE

Hey mate, thanks for letting me know.

Basically it was because you set "rank display" to "Disable". It was stopping the stats update for you. I have since corrected this so only "Stats Tracking" stops this from updating.

To be clear for everyone:

Options exist in the MY ACCOUNT > Edit Your Details

1) STATS TRACKING > If disabled the adminbot does no longer update your statistics from our servers. The information will still be available but will not update your profile if disabled. This means, if you disable this feature, your gaming hours will be still recorded by Jessica but no longer published. If you re-enable the option, the profile will be yet again displayed and all will be updated from the last time it was enabled. In other words, data will not be lost.

Just remember though, disabling this will stop the stats and ranks being displayed on your profile etc

2) SWAT 4 SERVER RANKS > This option if disabled will stop Jessica changing your name in the server to include your rank. If you turn this off, nothing else will be affected apart from Jessica no longer congratulating you.

Lastly, due to server loads, stats tracking only updates your profile once every 3 hours. Therefore it is not instant for this reason.

UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT 24/03

Unfortunately, due to an error in the player statistic calculations, it has been identified the total hour experience were inaccurate.

Thanks to DemonSpeed for alerting me to this issue. After much testing, I have found the problem and corrected the issue.

The good news is, your new totals displayed are now 100% accurate, I have spot checked them from the adminbot player records, and can confirm no playing data has been lost or corrupted. The error was simply just the calculations not adding up correctly, making the players look like they have played in our servers much longer than they actually have.

I apologise for the inconvenience but all is now resolved and ranks are adjusted accordingly.
